“Working with Diego changed the way I see tennis. He helped me realize that enjoying the game and smiling on court can be just as powerful as any tactic. Before, I was overthinking and carrying too much pressure. Now, I feel lighter, more confident, and actually excited to compete. He reminded me that having fun is part of playing well, and that’s made all the difference.”

“Working with Coach Diego has really helped me find joy in tennis again. I met Coach Diego when I was 13 years old and distinctly remember admiring his passion for tennis, and the way he carried himself on court. He just seemed so happy to be able to be out on the tennis court, coaching the game. Years later, after working with Diego, I can affirm that he carries this happiness with him onto the court every single practice. As someone who had been struggling with constant anxiety and panic attacks in matches, he really helped put tennis into perspective for me. He has helped me realize what a privilege it is just to be healthy enough to play the game. Learning about his life story, and what he and his family have given for him to be able to do what he is passionate about has truly helped me appreciate the privilege of tennis. While the mental help was what I needed the most for my situation, he also has tremendous knowledge of the physical side of the sport. Each practice has a plan and purpose and it just keeps building from there. I am very grateful to have met Diego as he has played a crucial role in a very critical time for me. His guidance has helped give me back my confidence on court- something I am eternally grateful for. ”

“Getting coached by Diego was different than other coaches I’ve previously had. As I began working with him, we were able to build a genuine player-coach bond, allowing me to entirely trust his feedback and coaching. Not only did he push me to become a better player, but he also showed me a different perspective on the game that made it so much more enjoyable for me. At that point, I found myself still improving and progressing, while also having fun on court. Diego’s drive to not only make his players the best that he could, but also his drive to be the best version of himself, was something that I hadn’t seen from another coach. The pride that he carries within himself and his culture is really cool to see. From the time I started working with him, I was able to acknowledge how his IQ for the game was very high for someone at such a young age. There’s so much more to his story that nobody could understand, but it is the reason why he is able to be so knowledgeable in all aspects of helping someone like me grow, using his own personal experiences. I have worked with Diego for a couple of years now, on and off, and throughout every time, I have found myself enjoying the game more and more. ”

Diego Dalisay is one of the most genuine and passionate coaches I have had in my career. He helped me make key technical changes to my serve and forehand, but more than that, he completely changed the way I approached the game mentally. He always reminded me that I did not need to play perfect tennis to win and that competing hard and believing in myself was enough. That mindset shift helped me stay confident even in tough matches and was a huge part of my growth as a player. What stands out most is how much Diego truly cares. He gives his whole heart to the players he works with and always made me feel like I had someone in my corner no matter what.

“Working with Coach Diego was a turning point in my tennis development. While I had the physical tools and technical ability to compete at a high level, I was struggling a bit with confidence, especially in high-pressure moments. Diego helped me break through those mental barriers. His approach to the psychological side of the game gave me the belief and composure I needed to fully trust my strokes and compete with conviction.

With his guidance, I earned a spot on the Bermuda Davis Cup team and received a Division I tennis scholarship to the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, where I was part of a team that won the CAA Conference title four consecutive years. Shortly after, I achieved a personal milestone by earning my first ATP points.

I’m incredibly grateful for the impact Diego had on my career. His coaching goes beyond the court he helps players realize their potential from the inside out. ”
